Dan Clarkson lives a comfortable life in a quiet suburban area, has three dogs and likes to spend hours browsing. He discovered Paid Surveys three years ago – a friend of his referred him to a paid survey site he had earned cash with. Dan was skeptic at first, but quickly became a paid survey believer. “I haven’t got any richer, but I’m happy that my free time is more meaningful now with online Surveys,” Dan says. His cash earnings definitely increased since his first months doing paid surveys. He tells me that gaining at least some months’ experience with paid surveys is crucial to developing tactics how to maximize your earnings. “I was discouraged at first, getting all the $5 surveys, but after a couple of months things improved” is what Dan concludes.

Emily Carlos is a mother of two, spending most of her time taking care of her toddlers, house and garden. “I have very little time for myself,” Emily says, “and I really needed some time away from all the routine stuff at home.” She started taking surveys five months ago. According to her, the money isn’t much, but “enough for some extra purchases at the CVS.” Emily says that taking paid surveys helps her meet some of the expenditure on the kids, and, occasionally, to satisfy a whim of her own.

The third paid surveys respondent I interviewed is a close friend of mine – Chris Harriman, a computer engineer who’s always so busy, that out meetings over coffee usually happen online. Chris spends almost all of his time online, working over various projects and communicating with his project partners. He tells me: “Of course, I take paid surveys not for the cash, as my wage as a software engineer is just not commensurate with any earnings that I could make by taking surveys. But paid surveys are really diversity from what I have to do 24/7.” Chris likes to take surveys online, because they ask him about things that no one else really asks him about. “Online surveys ask me what brands I like, what purchases I plan to make, and also ask me to evaluate different products and services. Rarely anyone else cares to ask me those things.”

I was happy, when I was done with the interviews, that so different people found purpose to take paid surveys. Some would take online surveys to earn some extra cash or spend their free time in a more meaningful way; others would simply seek diversity and a way to express their opinion as consumers. Paid surveys are a great source of entertainment, and truly easy to take. No matter if you take surveys to earn cash and prizes, or just to try something alternative to your routine work, paid surveys are really worth it.

In today’s fast growing and global economy, businesses risk falling behind as leaders in their key sectors if they continue to be reactive and not proactive in relation to diversity and equality.

By 2010, 50% of the UK workforce in urban areas will come from diverse backgrounds. With the word ‘Global’ following the word ‘Economy’ in almost every business case, diversity a key government initiative companies cannot afford anymore. The following are constantly a reminder of why diversity is key to the success of every business in the UK today:

1. Age discrimination

2. Bullying and harassment

3. Disability

4. Equal pay

5. Ex-offenders

6. Race discrimination

7. Religious discrimination

8. Sex discrimination

9. Sexual orientation

Here at Diversity Success, we focus on developing and equipping people from diverse backgrounds with the soft skills required to help employers gain a competitive edge in today’s global economy while helping employers understand the following:

I met up with Celia Oke, one of UK’s leading Diversity & Equality consultants for the Job Centre Plus and after hours of sharing ideas and opinions, we came up with a number of critical points to implementing a successful diversity and equality strategy.

It is not ground breaking news that we are in the people business and people buy into people before they buy from them. Global diversity has come of age and in today's constantly changing business environment, a multicultural Britain with different cultural values, beliefs and standards, if you are not recruiting the right people, i.e. people who understand your customers, then you are not ready to succeed in a global and diversified business economy.

In order to increase sales, improve customer loyalty and satisfaction then employers must be proactive in adapting a workforce that spans across time, space, cultures, and geographies.

This means that managing global diversity effectively is imperative for businesses that want to be faster, better, and more cost effective in the chaotic and complex global marketplace.

During my informal chat with Celia Oke, I finally came up to the following 7 conclusions for a successful diversity success strategy:

1. Where the head directs, the body follows:
Global Business thinkers recognise that implementing a diversity success strategy is a business and social opportunity to increase productivity and growth. As a result, it should be high on the priority list when business leaders are determining the financial success and growth of the business. If the head does not direct the body, the body can do nothing. Business leaders must therefore invest the time and money needed to develop, implement, monitor, and review a diversity strategy that will have a positive impact on business, employees, suppliers, customers, products, and services.

2. Birds of the same feather flock together:
In order to win and retain more customers who are constantly from diverse backgrounds, then you need to see, speak, hear and understand their language and way of life. To do this you need a diversified team – A global team that can speak the language and understand the way of life of your customers. Their key role must be to identify, define, design, and launch a successful global diversity initiative for your organisation. Include participants who represent diverse regions, countries, cultures, and languages already existing in your community. Let every implemented initiative be focused on creating a workforce that reflects the economy.

3. Assumption can be the mother of all failures: Knowing your current workforce culture and its effects on previous, current and future customers is key to identifying key diversity issues; globally, regionally, and by country. If your employees cannot engage your customers at all levels, then your competitors could be winning over your customers. Identify the barriers in the environment that prevent people engaging your employees and vice versa. You can do this by working with locals to find out what differences make a difference in their country or region and learning how those differences help or hinder people from performing to peak potential.

4. Communicate don’t tell
A well thought out communication plan must involve learning how to listen to the needs and requirements of employees and customers alike. Consider the responses and not the reactions of local communities by understanding local preferences. This ensures the support of a global diversity initiative. Make sure you understand the business objectives of Senior leaders and be ready to present how a diversity led initiative can help meet their business goals.

5. If you are doing it – Front it
Creating awareness for your diversity led initiatives among employees and communities will secure the success and growth of not only the initiative but also the business. You can do this by educating the workforce to increase awareness and build the skills needed to lead, manage, and team effectively in a globally diverse organization.

6. Accountability can secure proactively
Where people are held accountable, an answer is always expected for every action. If it can be measured, dated and recorded, it can be analysed, assessed and improved. Evidently companies succeed by making their employees and departments accountable. A diversity led initiative should be no different if you are to sustain a successful campaign.

7. Reflect! Reflect!! Reflect!!!
If you have an end date in mind, then you might as well mark that date as a drop in profitability and sales. Globalisation is here today. It’s always been here and it’s not going to go away. To remain in it is to effectively and continually manage your Diversity led initiatives. It is a continual process that is integral to the success and future of the business. An open ended project not a closed one. Always work in terms of outcomes and communicate these outcomes to Senior leaders, departments and the communities involved. Remember, your mission is to sustain the loyalty and satisfaction of your customers. You can only do this by communicating feedbacks to all parties involved.

For you as manager, training your sales people has many benefits.

* will keep business out of the hands of your competitors.
* helps to lower sales costs.
* helps to lower turnover.

How much would your organization's profits, sales effectiveness or competitive position improve if your sales people were better trained? Studies show it takes approximately one and one half years salary to bring a new hire up to full production. So investing a few thousand dollars on sales people currently on your staff is a wise investment.

My recommendations in this management skill don't mean you should bow to your top producers every wish. On the contrary, be tough when you need to be. Don't let your top people run the company. Do what ever you have to do to make your best people work harder and smarter than they've ever worked for any one else. A good way to get your sales people to perform at a higher level is to regularly replace your weakest links with stronger ones.

Let them know you're still in charge!

As a manager you will reap the largest rewards from the top sales people in your company. Train them, push them, scold them, praise them show them that you care and they will produce for you for many years to come.

Many people know that they must turn to advertising at some point in the future, but they hope that day will be long down the road. For some, this utopian concept will come to fruition.But for the rest of us in the real world, we must come up with creative solutions for meeting our home business advertising needs while working within our budget.

Most people have a misconception about having to spend lots of money in order to advertise their home business. When you start out, you honestly will not have much money available for advertising, and if you do, you should still spend it wisely.

Before you jump headfirst into the world of advertising, let me share some of the lessons I have learned concerning this most important topic.

LESSON #1

It does not have to cost an arm and a leg to advertise your home business, unless you fail to plan and fail to test. As much as is possible, you should always test your advertising. If you jump in and start dumping tons of money in to advertising without first testing your advertising, you might find yourself broke and without sales at the end of the road. Most people who commit this error write off their failure on the home business they chose or the economy or any of a hundred other excuses. But, if they are unwilling to take responsibility for their mistake, they will never learn from their mistake. Don't let this be you.

LESSON #2

All testing should be done in blocks. If you begin to advertise simultaneously in newspapers, radio and television, how will you know which advertising is bringing people to your cash register? You won't. All you will know that something might be working, but you will not know what is actually doing the trick.

Even if you tell people in your advertising to tell you how they found you, my experience shows that fewer than 10% of the people ever will tell you anything --- and those people who do may noteven get the facts straight! You cannot rely on your customers to tell you what advertising is working for your home business. You must put in the extra effort to know for yourself.

LESSON #3

Only when you have a proven and solid advertising portfolio should you venture to drop big bucks in an advertising campaign. Even then, you should be careful to keep further measurements to determine how much the maximum advantage of an ad would be.Sometimes you might be able to reach ten times as many people, but depending on the kind of media and other factors, the additional exposure will only generate twice as many sales. Keep your eye attuned to situations like this to get the most from your advertising dollars.

LESSON #4

As Lesson #3 illustrates, sometimes your best advertising investment may actually cost you less money. When you are first starting out, whether you are running a home business or a business outside of your home, you need to be able to get people talking and thinking about your business.

In 1981, Lisa Bilodeau didn't even know what chiropractic was. Now, more than 20 years later, she's the president of Chiropractic Success Systems. So, how did Bilodeau go from novice to industry expert?

It all started in 1981 in northern California.

"I needed a job, and the unemployment office sent me over to a chiropractic office," shares Bilodeau, who is also a columnist for Dynamic Chiropractic. "Needless to say, I had no idea what a chiropractor was. I couldn't even pronounce the word. I just needed a job and they needed a receptionist."

Bilodeau had no idea that interview would change her life and, through her, the chiropractic industry. She recalls that one of the five doctors in the practice had a small model spine in the consultation room where they interviewed her.

"He took the model and he explained to me what chiropractic was and what chiropractors do, and what subluxation is," Bilodeau says. "I just got goosebumps. I fell in love with it, right there. I, of course, got the job, and the rest is history."

Bilodeau says she knew immediately that she was entering an amazing profession.

"I come from a medical background, so the whole chiropractic world was very foreign to me, but I just knew in my heart and soul, that's what healthcare was meant to be," she explains.

Despite her lack of experience, that initial step took Bilodeau on a 20-plus-year journey of discovery. She devoted herself to doing everything she could to improve the office side of the chiropractic profession. That included producing "clean claims" and billing techniques that resolved denials--expertise she now shares with chiropractors and CAs through Chiropractic Success Systems and her many speaking engagements.

"Probably the biggest mistake when hiring is not doing a thorough testing procedure," reveals Bilodeau. "The testing is very important, and following up on references is crucial."

"I think a lot of times chiropractors don't use enough paperwork, believe it or not," Bilodeau explains. "There are a lot of required forms, and that's a lot of what we cover in the seminars.

"A lot of doctors think they need to cut corners because it's going to upset the patient if they need to do certain paperwork, but it really is crucial," she concludes. "They need to make sure they have all the proper paperwork for every new patient who comes through their office so they can avoid any problems further down the road."

If you're a woman in your thirties of forties, the answer is "yes - most definitely." Weight gain, as you approach menopause, is quite common and often one of the first symptoms of menopause that women notice. This is true even if you're still experiencing regular periods.

You see, as you approach menopause your body's hormone levels are declining, thus causing many changes to occur. As your estrogen levels decline, your body will naturally look for other places from where to get the needed estrogen. Unfortunately, fat cells are capable of producing estrogen, which results in your body working harder to convert calories to fat.

In addition to the declining levels of estrogen, your body's testosterone levels are also declining. As you may know, testosterone is the hormone that converts your calories to lean muscle mass. Obviously, with lower testosterone levels you're now losing muscle mass. Since muscle burns far more calories than does fat, your body is no longer capable of burning calories the way it used to.

As you can see, your declining hormone levels are the main culprit behind all of the weight gain you're now noticing. Don't think for one minute that you need to accept or welcome this unwanted enemy because you can easily lose this menopausal weight gain. I recently published some inspirational quotes on my website to assist women in their everyday lives. One of my favorites comes to mind when I think about what makes so many women complacent when they're faced with symptoms of menopause and weight gain. Jim Rohn once said "Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment." If you're willing to put your discipline into high gear you will undoubtedly lose the weight you've gained due to declining hormone levels associated with menopause. It's important that you understand what's taking place inside your body so that you're well aware that simply cutting calories will not significantly reduce or eliminate the weight around your mid-section. You must build muscle to turn your body into a calorie-burning machine. You needn't be extreme, but an exercise routine that includes weight training at least three days a week will give you results that will astonish you.

Remember, "Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment." Don't be complacent. You're headed in the right direction because you researched the Internet seeking information regarding weight gain during menopause. Consider this the first step in your walk across the bridge to accomplishment.

The reason I'm talking about automation is because as the title of this article is: "Expose, Sell, and Repeat the Process"

But if the process is neither simple nor easy then it's not going to be very repeatable.

It comes down to asking yourself the right questions.

The question we should be asking ourselves is:

"How do we make the processes of exposure and sales automated so that we can make the duplication process as simple/easy as possible for people to accomplish?"

As I've stated in other articles I've written, Ease and Simplicity are two of the keys to success. Unfortunately, the higher ups in most MLM Companies don't seem to understand this little concept.

If they did, maybe the industry wouldn’t have a 97% failure rate.

Not only are you dealing with physical symptoms of menopause, such as hot flashes, night sweats, irregular periods and weight gain, but there are many emotional changes that take place as a result of declining hormone levels.

You may experience moodiness, depression or feelings of sadness and hopelessness. If this is the case, there's a strong likelihood that your mate is feeling somewhat confused by your behavior and may be left wondering if you still love him and want to spend the rest of your life with him.

If your husband or partner is anything like mine, it's not likely that he'll research information that's available to him in order to figure out what's happening within your body and how it may be affecting your emotions. If men don't have the answers, how will they respond to the "foreign" you?

Unfortunately, men respond to women's hormonal balances using many different approaches that aren't always the most effective. Some men simply ignore the problem and hope it will go away, while others may be overbearing and treat their partner as if she's emotionally fragile and incapable of dealing with life.

The relationship problems couples face during midlife, in most cases, really is usually a lack of communication due to the misunderstanding that results from hormonal imbalances and behavior changes in women approaching menopause.

If you find that you're facing some challenges in your relationship due to hormone fluctuations, and you don't honestly see your mate taking the time or initiative to figure out what may be happening, it may be a good idea to tape the following messages to your refrigerator, mirror, tool box or other area where he's sure to take notice.

1.If your wife or partner is feeling undesirable (and there's a good chance that this may occur often during this transition), it may be automatic for you to express how beautiful she is. Unfortunately, she is not likely to believe you. Don't let this become a slammed door, however; continue to be loving, kind and supportive consistently and eventually she will trust that you really do find her desirable.

2.Since your wife is not feeling sexy as a result of the weight she has likely gained during this period in her life, please don't let your eyes pop out of your head when a young sexy woman appears on TV or passes by you in a restaurant. And worse yet, avoid the temptation to flirt with younger women. This behavior is insensitive and uncalled for, and only adds to an already strained relationship.

3.When you think your wife is behaving irrationally, remember that she's not crazy and zip it! That's right - just keep your thoughts to yourself because oftentimes what men view as irrational, women do not.

4.When your wife has something she'd like to tell you, listen! Don't dismiss her, even if you've heard this same story over and over again. It's important to your wife to have a partner - one with whom she can communicate. If it's tempting to interrupt her, take a moment to put yourself in her shoes and decide how you would feel if your every thought or emotion were brushed off as if it meant nothing.

5.There's a strong possibility that your wife's sex drive is not what it once was. This is confusing and scary for your wife, and may very well add to her moodiness. As a matter of fact, it's not unusual for women to find fault with their spouses in order to feel justified in not having the desire to have sex. Openly communicate with your wife about this, and make an effort to work together to remedy this problem so that your sex life can become rejuvenated. A healthy sex life contributes to your overall physical health, as well as the health of your relationship.

6.Let your wife know she can count on you. Perhaps she's feeling overwhelmed with a busy schedule and a tired body. Put down the newspaper or the remote control and pick up a broom. You'll be amazed by her positive reaction and what results to which your desire to help may lead.

7.Stop at the store on your way home from work and pick up a romantic card or a bouquet of flowers. Don't wait for your wife to suggest going out to dinner; go ahead and be assertive and simply tell her the two of you are going out on a nice little date.

8.Your wife may be doing a lot of complaining lately; you can encourage her to stop complaining by giving her reasons to know she's lucky to have you in her life.

9.Make your wife laugh - even if you need to be the butt of your own jokes (better you than her).

10.Finally, express your love for your wife and let her know that you understand this may be a rough ride for her and you want to do whatever you can to pave the road for a smooth transition into menopause.

While it's important for your spouse to be understanding and sympathetic to your needs during this transitional period, it's also important that you do all you can to take care of yourself - both physically and emotionally. Be sure to eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly, get plenty of rest and take time for yourself.

If you're sure to do all you can to remain healthy, there's no doubt that you will feel beautiful, youthful and full of energy - your absolute best - as you approach menopause.

Hello! Please! It's time to stop this BS once and for all. If these claims had even a shred of truth to them, every 5 year old worth his or her salt would be reclined on a Mediterranean beach sipping a fruity cocktail with a toothpick umbrella while looking over their fat stock portfolio in calm retirement.

Give me a break, Please. And I say this with a definite sense of irony since I have fallen victim to more than my share of slick sales pitches like so many lemmings diving of a cliff.

I will say one thing to all who will listen: You do not have to hit rock bottom before you turn things around. You don't have to be beaten to a pulp before you begin to cover up and finally say,"Hey! I don't want to get hit anymore!"

It's a funny thing. We all walk around with this arrogance, this belief that we are the supreme answer to all questions worth asking. Then (If we are lucky) we get knocked around enough that we begin to see that if our supposed knowledge was boiled down, it wouldn't fill a thimble.

We begin to look at the phrase we were caught in grade school is the one truth. Knowledge is Power. Say that a few times over in rapid succession. Knowledge is Power. Knowledge is Power. Knowledge is Power. Knowledge is Power.

Oh, did I forget to mention, I know I get carried away sometimes. Knowledge is Power. Good, I feel better know.

Acquire knowledge, develop skills, take action, and you can actually write your own ticket. You can turn that thimble into a shot glass and then a tumbler and then a pitcher and so on.

But again, it is always easier to do nothing, as long as you remember to show up to someone else's job on someone else's timetable with someone else's agenda in uniform and on time.

The most important thing to remember today is not the easiest to swallow. We all want it to be true, but there is no magic, it will not happen overnight, and there is no one system that will skyrocket you to financial independence while sitting on your ass. Those people are lying to you. Let me make this absolutely clear: They are lying to you!

They want to take your money. They have nothing of value to offer you. You are just a wallet, and when that wallet is empty you do not exist to them anymore.

I have to apologize, maybe my words are a little bitter, but I still keenly remember that when I was finally completely out of money, all they wanted to do was then take my stuff away.

O.K. I don't know you, but I'm going to tell you a little about where I came from. I am the son of a high school teacher and a publishing exec, two of the most intelligent people I have ever met. In turn I was so arrogant that I figured this would just rub of on me and I would, by default, be so smart that I didn't have to work for it.

I challenged my teachers throughout my schooling and fought everyone's advice during my adolescence and beyond. I'm am not proud of this fact but I feel that if it is just my penance for being so utterly stupid than every word of this story is gold to me.

Maybe in some way I have some of their guiding spirit in me that I feel I need to help in any small way I can. No one deserves to have such a hard go of it when all it takes is to add a little humility into their personality and quietly take direction. Especially, when just a little is all it takes.
