Statistics shows that on average, the rich have an annual realized income less than 7 percent of their wealth. In other words, they live on less than 7 percent of their wealth. Here we can clearly define the fine line between the affluent and the non-affluent. Simply put, the affluent are a collection of people who are conscious consumers and not "huge spenders".

Now, why would we want to target those who are not "huge spenders"? At this point, we already know that the affluent are not "huge spenders" themselves. Why focus on the population who are most aware to the price changes to products and services? However, I'm going to give you a tip here and you can bring it to the bank! Is that they are not especially price sensitive when it comes to paying for investment advice and services, educational products, accounting services, tax consultancy, medical plus dental care for themselves not forgetting family members, legal services, and homes.

At this point, I really want to emphasize the items advisory services and educational products here. Interrogative Interviews - How to Deal & Win the Job

Many have gone for an interview at least once in their working lives.

That is common. Meeting with good and friendly interviewers are also very common.

One uncommon experience that some people may have is with interviewers who were like “interrogators”.

The candidate sits down in front of the interviewer, greets him or her and accepts the chair politely. What happens later is that the interviewer starts to question the candidate and repeatedly try to draw answers out of the candidate.

It is obvious the candidate who went through the bad experience of being questioned and interrogated like a criminal by the interviewer would feel depressed, rejected or even frustrated and disgruntled. It is normal to feel that way. Take heart though, that most of the interviewers are NOT like that. Perhaps a small number of interviewers would fall into the category of attempting to start an “interrogation “ session with the candidate.

In situations like these, the whole interview process is ruined as the candidate would be unnerved and would answer all questions, perhaps as fast as possible in order to make his or her way out of the office as soon as the interview is over.

It is normal for the candidates in that situation to feel at a loss or at a disadvantage because the interviewer holds the decision making power to either hire or reject the candidate and also hold the keys to the appropriate answer or something close to it as he or she questions the candidate. It may be hurting to some candidate’s pride as well if the interviewer forces answers out of them or otherwise asking irrelevant questions with assertiveness.

There is a way to go about it. It is not ALL negative. In a situation like this, do not panic but maintain a courteous and calm composure and respond to the interviewer’s questions politely and maintain eye contact and other positive body language. Face the interviewer confidently and be professional when answering their questions even though they may ask in an intruding or interrogative manner. You CAN turn this to your advantage.

For some people it is like a challenge to be overcome and the rewards may be the end result of impressing the interviewer and perhaps see the brighter and friendlier side of the interviewer. A good rapport could result.

Have faith. When you meet an interrogative interviewer, remember the guidelines given here and you might be pleasantly rewarded with a second interview or perhaps the job offer.

Chemistry is King When it Comes to Interviewing Successfully

Pornography is "hard to to define," but "I know it when I see it," wrote former Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart in 1964.

Chemistry between two individuals is another gray area that can be equally difficult to explain. In the context of a job interview, how is it you can have two candidates with comparable backgrounds, experience and skill sets: one the client loves while the other they could care less if they ever see again.

You may be thinking, "That's obvious: it's a personality issue"--and I would agree, to an extent. But you don't have to dislike someone's personality to not have chemistry with them. I've interviewed a number of very likable (and capable) people that for whatever reason did not make a favorable impression on the client. I'm always trying to uncover the criteria (experience and skill sets notwithstanding) that the hiring manager is going to use to determine the candidate's suitability for their job.

Psychologist Albert Mehrabian said that 93% of communication is non-verbal--the spoken word only accounts for a mere 7% when delivering a message. I agree that body language and tone of voice are significant factors when it comes to effective communication (and developing chemistry), but I believe the spoken word plays an equally important part. Not just the quality of the message, but the quantity of words used. Let me explain: I recently had the opportunity to participate in a group interview with a client who is hiring for a VP-level position. Since the majority of the companies I work with are outside of South Florida, I don't often get the chance to sit-in on the candidate/client meeting. But after this particular one I think I'm going to start insisting on it because the insight I gained was invaluable.

Interviews with executive-level candidates tend to be more conversational in nature as opposed to rapid-fire Q & A sessions. The participants generally view themselves as business-equals and most employers recognize that candidates at this level, particularly those recommended by a search firm, are highly qualified and in-demand. It was during this 90 minute meeting that I watched the chemistry between these two parties begin to develop, then take a dramatic turn downward, only to slowly reignite and begin to build the foundation for a business relationship.

Good conversation should unfold like a tennis match with the two players volleying equally back and forth, not like being shot at on the other side of the net by a ball machine. When one side either dominates the conversation or doesn't equally contribute with their own thoughts and observations, chemistry rarely develops. No one likes to be interrogated. An acquaintance of mine is a reporter with a local television station and talking with him is like being on trial for aggravated homicide: one intensive question after another with him rarely giving any commentary or opinion of his own. Almost as bad is sitting on the receiving side of an "information dump", where the other person goes into mind-numbing detail about topics and issues that are hardly relevant to the discussion.

An interview is but a snapshot of both parties involved: it's a first impression to determine whether or not a potential relationship can develop and flourish. Whether you're a hiring manager or job seeker, keep the "volleying" analogy in the back of your mind during your meeting. Give chemistry every opportunity to develop and you'll find yourself making better employment decisions.

7 Tips for Posting in Forums

On a kick about car seats this past month, I’ve frequented forums discussing car seats, safety factors, and children. I’ve learned a lot of valuable information, was able to voice my opinion on our newly acquired car seat, and discovered a disturbing truth—not all marketing is good marketing.

Upon reading several threads this past week, I ran across a few posts that sounded like blatant advertisements, but chucked my thoughts on the subject because when I am gung-ho about a product, I, too, can sound like a blatant advertisement. Yet, regulars on the boards were not impressed and some even lowered their views of a product when they felt they were being pitched by the company—which had me questioning what we, as small business owners sound like when we hit the Internet to promote our products, services, speaking engagements, and conferences.

When you set out to announce your business to the world, do you—in your enthusiasm—sound like a spammer? Do you only post to promote your product or services? Do you only post when you can directly influence the reader’s view on your product or service? Do you only post so you can “sell” your product or service? Or do you post to offer valuable insight, resources, and views?

When posting to forums, follow these simple tips to achieve true word-of-mouth advertising—all of which I am learning by trial and error, myself:

1. Only post when you have something of value to share—even if it has nothing to do with your services or your products.

2. Don’t be afraid to be real—even if it means you don’t look as successful or professional as you’d like. If you don’t know something and want more information, ask—even if it’s your field of study.

3. Always stay professional. In other words, be real, be truthful, and be sincere, but don’t air your dirty laundry. While people like to see the human side of successful people, they don’t want to read about your day-to-day struggles, marital problems, friendship problems, co-worker problems, family problems or financial problems—unless you’ve already reached the other side and are teaching instead of venting.

4. Always remain tactful. In other words, don’t start fights on boards just because you have a different point-of-view, don’t call someone else names because they’ve insulted you or rubbed you the wrong way, don’t prejudge, don’t harass, and definitely don’t talk poorly about someone because it could come back to bite you in the rear.

5. If someone misunderstands your question or comment, don’t hesitate to offer clarity. There’s no need to go back and delete your original post. People like to see the human side of highly successful people—it makes life more real and interesting. And besides, the only way we learn is by being teachable.

6. Don’t be afraid to mention your product or service in relevant posts. Just remember to do it gracefully. In other words, if your book has a section that could answer the poster’s question better, summarize the chapter in a few short paragraphs, then mention that a more detailed take on the subject can be found in your book, TITLE. If your product is the answer to the poster’s dilemma, tell him/her why with real facts and scenarios, then mention the name of the product and where it can be found.

7. Don’t mention your product or service if there is no reason to do so. In other words, if the post doesn’t warrant you mentioning your product or service, don’t try to stretch the poster’s view to fit your need to market. Leave a blurb in your tagline, instead. I. Time Management is a key skill

Time is probably the most precious resource we have. Balancing a busy work life with a busy personal life can be more enjoyable if you develop the skills necessary to manage your time effectively. There is the need to keep up to date with what is happening in your work, your business, your market, your industry, and of course there are those personal obligations. We find it difficult to say “no” to extra demands that are placed on us, but the solution is within our control. To avoid stress and avoid disappointing those to whom we have made commitment we must manage our time effectively. If you make a commitment to deliver an item or service to a customer, and don’t meet that obligation, it is like saying, “I have found someone more important than you”. Do you think you will retain their custom?

II. Time Management is following a Plan

Turn your Business Vision into action plans that have timelines. Plan yearly, monthly, weekly and daily, and prioritize the daily tasks, so that at the end of each day you have completed the most important activities. Allow in your plans extra time for unexpected situations, and do not over book or over commit yourself. Plan long projects by breaking them down into smaller pieces, and spend a short time each day, in your plan, towards those major projects. By getting ahead in this way, you avoid the last minute rush to complete. Protect your planned time. If you are faced with a number of things to do, go through them quickly and make a list of when each one needs to be done and work it into your daily or weekly plan. Do not start a number of activities at the same time.

III. Time Management is conditioning your environment

For those who have demands placed on them by others, it is easy to become overloaded or diverted or interrupted. There may be a pattern to these interruptions. It may be a breakdown in a system or process, so find the cause and fix it. Low priority items often seem greater than they are, and if not allowed to divert your daily plan, may fix themselves. Learn to diplomatically say “no”, but if the activity is important, put it into your “unexpected” slot for later. If you don’t control your environment, it will put pressure on you. If necessary produce a weekly or daily schedule showing what you have planned, so that you can explain to others why you must prioritize activities to suit your plan not someone else’s. Review your work environment such as layout, IT equipment, paperwork, etc. and organize it efficiently. If you can’t stop interruptions then go somewhere else so that you can be alone. Involve others in discussions about better utilizing your time and theirs.

IV. Time Management is organizing you

Time management is a skill. Beware of bad habits creeping in. Are you trying to keep everything in your head instead of writing it down on a to do list? Are you late for appointments or meetings because you wanted to do just one more thing, or allowed yourself to be distracted? Can you delegate the task to someone else? Employees are more often limited by your skill or ability than theirs. Be prepared to make significant changes in the way you do things. Challenge your own habits or routines and the way you defend what you are doing. Really evaluate how you are spending your time. If you don’t know, try keeping a time log for a day or two, or even longer if your routine is a varied one. You will soon see, and show others the effect of interruptions on your schedule. Challenge anything that is wasting your time and effort, don’t assume that because it’s always done that way it is right. Focus on the things which fit your long term goals, question and discard those things which do not. Improve your decision making; rarely does time improve the quality of a decision, because most decisions are made with incomplete information.

So what's the difference between a position and a stand?

A stand, on the other hand, is an action of honoring one's values in the face of inner opposition (fear, doubt, etc.).

AN EXAMPLE:

Tim is an entrepreneur who has a dispute with Sam, General Manager of another company. Tim thinks he should receive a credit, because Sam's company did not deliver the kind of service they had promised.

Picking up the phone to make a phone call to the GM was a scary proposition for Tim. Sam had already denied his first request for a discount, and reacted as if Tim was being cheap and unfair.

Tim wanted to stand for what he thought was right, and he didn't want the conversation to turn ugly, but he was scared... and so he prepared for the confrontation, as most anyone would do by solidifying his position.

Tim solidified his position by forming his conclusions, judgments and solutions.

Conclusion: Sam's service was not delivered as expected; therefore Tim does not owe the amount in the contract.

Judgment: It was unfair of Sam to not talk this through amicably with Tim. Sam is unethical, unfair and greedy.

Solution: Sam should credit Tim's company $1,000. Anything less is unfair.

Armed with his position, Tim picked up the phone and called Sam. Although Tim was trying to sound nice and businesslike, Sam instantly picked up the defensive/aggressive tone in his voice.

Sam's mind immediately formed its own position. He thought of all he'd done for Tim over the years. How could he be so ungrateful and cheap? You can bend over backward for a guy only so much. No more discounts or credits.

"Well you can call my lawyer then, Sam, because I'm not paying another dime until you credit me $1,000."

"If that's the way you want it, Tim. You'll be hearing from my lawyer." Click. Sam had hung up the phone.

"At least I didn't let that guy overcharge us again," Tim explained to his secretary. A guy's got to take a stand once in a while. Otherwise people will walk all over you.

Thousands of dollars in lawyer bills later, Sam and Tim finally settled out of court for a $500 credit. To this day, their friendship is dead, they are both resentful, and their positions are stronger than ever.

Every time they reflect honestly on how they resolved the conflict, they feel guilt... and then their mind turns back to its position, and they feel a little more comfortable.

What's behind the phenomenol growth and rapidly increasing market share? Our report covered several factors comparing Wymoo International to its competitors, but one area clearly stood out as their secret. Simply put: client service. While firms like Owens Online and several others have focused on obtaining data via increasing automation and technology, Wymoo seems to have done the opposite. Our global focus is strongly on client service and narrative reporting, not generic database search and automated reports. More and more companies today are geared towards outsourcing and automation. We prefer to do things the old-fashioned way."

True to his words, client satisfaction is reportly the highest in the industry at Wymoo, and it's no wonder that the firm has rapidly become a global competitor. As growth continues, keeping the personalized service and fending off competitors will be a real challenge. Asked about this concern, Wilkerson replied "our goal is to be the best, not the biggest. If we ever start to lose quality, we'll put the brakes on." So far the stategy is working.

Four Simple Steps To Write A Successful Resume

Many people find writing a resume a daunting frustrating task, but breaking the steps down into four simple sections can turn what is considered a difficult task into something rather simple.

Your resume is your calling card, and it's usually the first impression a potential employer will have of you. Looking your best on paper is imperative if you want to capture the interest of someone who may end up calling you for an interview. Many people, however, tend to find writing a resume a daunting frustrating task, but breaking the steps down into four simple sections can turn a difficult task into something rather simple.

The first thing you can do for your resume is limit the length to one page, so as to hold the attention of your potential employer. In our fast-past world, attention spans are short, and you don't want anyone growing bored with a resume that stretches on and on.

Start with the simplest part - the heading. At the top of your resume page, you should clearly indicate your name. Below your name should be your address and contact information, namely your telephone number and e-mail address. Make sure it's clear where an employer can reach you, otherwise you'll never get that call for an interview.

After the header, the task of writing a resume becomes a lot harder, as you've reached the point where you need to indicate your objective - namely the position you're applying for. Make sure you use the exact words that your potential employer used in his employment offer for the desired position, so that there's no mistake what you're aiming for.

Never put your objective as being money or other such similar tactless things. You want to maintain your professional appearance at all times. Continuing onward from your objective and for the remainder of your resume, you'll want to present each bit of information in a bullet-point form; a short but concise sentence that imparts all the information you want to mention in one to three lines.

The third section is your work history, where you list your past jobs and any major achievements you accomplished while employed at various businesses. If you're new to the job market, you'll probably want to include as much as possible.

If you can't fit the entire resume on a single page, start cutting items from this section and focus on previous employment experience with the most relevance to the position you're applying for. You need not limit this section entirely to employment though. Volunteer work, business ownership, independent sale of your work, and other experiences showcasing your abilities can be listed in this section.

The fourth and final section of a resume is your education. As with work history, relevance to the position you want counts, if the one-page limit requires you to cut certain items from your resume. Focus on the most pertinent education you have that could relate to the position you'd like to land, or highlight special training you've received that makes you an attractive asset to the company.

All that's left once you've completed the four sections is editing and formatting your resume to have it appear as professional as possible. While a typo may not always mean the difference between life and death, it can lower a potential employer's opinion of you, so be sure everything on your resume is correct. If possible, try running the text past some else to check for your mistakes. Once that's done, all you have to do is send it off to a potential employer and hope for the best.

I used BadderAdder to add friends and this software only added friends. Buddypromoter, the new all in one software, has the feature for adding friends and it is so much faster. On a broadband connection I could send out 1,000 friend requests in less than 10 minute

I have used Spacepromoter to create identities but this is also one of the features of Buddypromoter. I had paid almost $300 for Spacepromoter and I thought I'd have to pay a similar price for BuddyPromoter. Spacepromoter, a US based company, was shut down by MySpace and the same with BadderAdder. Buddypromoter is a Malaysia based company and I don't think that the US has any real affiliation with Malaysia. I was also extremely impressed that Buddypromoter is less than half the cost of what I had paid for Spacepromoter.

A great feature of Buddypromoter is the way it can chain accounts together when sending comments, bulletins, and friend requests. I also don't have to worry about it using the same IP address when logging into each account. My friend has sent me copies of some of the emails he has received from people who have bought this product and I was very impressed. My friend will have the software periodically updated with new features or improvements to existing features and one of the buyers said that he has already made over $1,000 with the first release and he didn't see any reason to update with all the other releases. I received like 3 updates to Buddypromoter in one week. Most software these days I am lucky to see an update like once every 3 or 4 months.

My friend has told me that eventually the software will allow you to market on sites like Friendster, Facebook, and YouTube. I have always hated the fact that I needed so many different software programs to do the things I do. It is a breath of fresh air now to get so much from just one software application. I see so many advertisements on the site MySpace but Buddypromoter is not a SPAM tool, it is software for ethical marketers to make a lot of money on sites like MySpace.

Go to the site by adding dot com to Buddypromoter and see for yourself. This is great software at a great price. Usually for any of the good programs I am always having to save up my money and take money away from some other part of my budget but not with Buddypromoter.

The only disadvantage I see is if you only want to market at a snails pace then this software is definitely not for you. This software will accelerate all your efforts so that you can start making money within hours of installing it on your computer. One of the greatest things that I see is the level of support and whenever I had a suggestion for a new feature I wanted to see and it was added in less than a week.

Some of the only other disadvantages I can see are the fact that this one application does everything where there might be some people who like a separate application for everything they do. Plus the pricing may be too affordable. The best feature which no other software I've seen has is the chaining feature. You could create your own whore train if you wanted.
