Setting Up A Strategic Internet Marketing Plan

Description:

Internet marketing is a relatively new business model whereby a person can earn a part time or full time living from the comfort of their own home. All that's required of you is a computer, an internet connection, a little creativity and a lot of motivation and focused actions!

Content:

There are so many methods of earning money on the internet by selling, creating and promoting products. The term internet marketing is a broad term that describes the method of using the internet as a marketing medium.

When devising an internet marketing plan, there are several things you need to take into consideration and carefully decide upon.

Due to the unlimited amount of internet marketing information available, it's important to remain focused on just one at a time. It's very easy to get lost in the world of internet marketing. There is such a vast amount of information that it's easy to become overwhelmed., don't let it happen to you.

Here are a few steps to take into consideration when setting up a strategic internet marketing plan.

** Decide WHAT you want to sell - an eBook? Software, Video or Audio files? A service?

** Select WHERE you will get this product - will you create it yourself or pay someone to make it for you?

** Decide WHO you will sell it to - define your target market.

** Know WHY these people would want to buy your product - tapping into people's emotions and needs will bring you success.

** Decide HOW you are going to get the word out about your product - your marketing method.
1. What is it that you want people to do first.
If you know what you want your visitors to do, you need to give them a starting point. Realize that once someone visits your website, or sees your ad, the odds of them visiting again are quite low unless you have a unique and compelling website.

So the first thing you want to do in any business is to set up a plan to create leads. You can do that online by creating a database. You will need to offer something of value in exchange to create a list of prospects. Remember, most people don't say yes the first time, so by exposing them to your marketing message, your chances increase because they see the value your provide them.

2. Which benefits do you want to emphasize to get your prospects to take the MWA (Most Wanted Action)?
You need to provide something of value that will provide a solution to your visitor and something that is of value. This is an important element of a strategic marketing plan.

Determine who is in your target audience, who are you speaking to? You speak differently to different people, so you want to tailor your message accordingly. Are you targeting retirees, golfers, high school students, stay at home moms, working women, soccer fans? You will speak differently and communicate differently, so know who your niche market is and create a virtual snapshot of your ideal customer.

3. What Niche Will You Target?
Realize that the internet is a vast place and people are interested in specific topics, not general subject. Create a niche that offers value and serves your market well.

4. What's Your Marketing Budget?
A marketing budget need not be millions of dollars like a large company. It could simply be $50, which could be enough to register a domain name, get a hosting account and few dollars for online ads. It can be as large as you want. Also, consider not only money but your time, how much time will you spend to get your new internet venture producing income.

Remember, it is extremely important to plan how you will succeed online. Take into account your own personal goals. Then go ahead and fill in the gaps of the above steps which will give you a pathway to follow.

Sure, you can add and change things along the way, but laying the groundwork down in the beginning by setting up a strategic internet marketing plan will put you light years ahead of someone who has failed to plan.

The Who, What, Where, Why and How are the five questions you need to answer before beginning your internet marketing endeavors. Once you have a sound internet marketing plan, you can take action and begin making money from the comfort of your home.

The interviewer hopes that YOU are the right person for the job. They are under pressure to fill the position so that they can get back to their own work. Therefore you are in a greater position of strength than you think. Concentrate on what you have to offer in the way of qualifications and experience instead of feeling intimidated.

An interviewer has 3 aims:

1) To learn if you are the right person for the job2) To assess your potential for promotion3) To decide whether you will fit into the company environment

The key to a successful interview is in preparation

Be prepared: For the types of questions you will be askedBe prepared: To ask questions yourselfBe prepared: To research the companyBe prepared: To look the partBe prepared: To turn up on time

Questions you may be askedExample question: How would you describe yourself?Your answer: Should describe attributes that will enhance your suitability for the position. Have some ready in advance.Example question: What are your long-term goals?Your answer: Should be career orientated. Make sure you have goals to discuss.Example question: Why did you leave your last job?Your answer: Could be more responsibility better opportunity increased income. Do not be detrimental to your previous employer. He could be the interviewer's golfing partner.Example question: Why do you want this job?Your answer: Your answer should be: more responsibility or better opportunity or similar. Not: because it is closer to home or the gym.Example question: What are your strengths?Your answer: Should highlight accomplishments and experiences that relate to the position for which you are applying. Also give examples of situations where your strengths have been demonstrated.Example question: What are your weaknesses?Your answer: Should not be a list of deficiencies. Don't mention anything that could make the interviewer question your ability to do the job, for example "I am always late for everything." Instead, discuss a weakness that could also be a strength such as "I am a workaholic!"

More Examples of Interview Questions

Tell me a little bit about yourself.Describe your current / most recent position. What made you want to make this change? What do you most enjoy doing in your current /most recent position?Describe your future ambitions. How would you describe yourself?

Questions for you to ask

Asking questions at interview has a number of positive effects:It helps you find out more about the company and the position. It can be used to divert the interviewer away from a subject you may wish to avoid. It can help build a rapport with the interviewer. It demonstrates an interest in the job and the company. The questions must be about the position and the company.Avoid questions about salary, benefits and facilities until after you have been offered the job. You should already have researched the company and it's products and services. Your questions should demonstrate knowledge of the company's history, successes and problems. If the interviewer is a representative of the personnel department the questions should relate to the company and be general. Specific questions relating to the position should be kept for the line manager who will have a more detailed knowledge.

Example questions relating to the positionWhat are the main responsibilities of the job? What are the most difficult aspects of the job?How did the vacancy arise? What is the career path relating to this position? How will my work be assessed?

Presentation Tips

Obviously you should be clean and smart in appearance but you should also dress appropriately for the position, for example: a student placement that is more expensively dressed than the Managing Director may have a negative impact.

Clothes should be on the conservative side, which is more acceptable to people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds. After all, you are asking to be accepted into the company. Therefore always avoid extremes in hair, clothes, make-up and jewellery. Taking trouble over your appearance shows the employer that the job is important to you.

Travel tips

Arrive 15 minutes early.Make sure you have the correct address and know how you will get there:Parking? Public transport access?Do a dummy run if you are not sure.Make sure you have a mobile phone and a telephone number so that you can ring ahead if circumstances beyond your control are making you late.Be polite to everyone you speak to, it could be the Managing Director's cousin!Have a copy of your CV with you.

Summary

You should show interest in all aspects of the job and the company especially if shown around the premises. Do your homework on the company and the nature of its business. Take care in how you dress for the interview. First impressions still count!

Some of the main influences on the interviewer are:Your experience in other employment or life situations Your personal presentation. How your personality comes across in the interviewYour background and referencesYour enthusiasm for both the job and the organisation.Relevant qualifications for the position.

Corporate Career Development Networking

Description:

It is common for people to want to have a career development plan. Many think that those successful individuals who have preceded them in the corporation had a plan to get where they got. Some did, but quite honestly, not all.

Content:

As a natural part of my empowerment consulting practice, I often find myself in discussions with my clients about their jobs and careers. Sometimes we talk about new jobs or job opportunities; sometimes we talk about promotions; sometimes we talk about careers over the long-term.

These are all very different types of conversations. Most of my clients who are in corporations are mid-level to senior-level managers, who are competent and have already proven their value to the company. I also work with clients who are outside the corporate structure or are consultants to corporations, with whom career development conversations are different.

It is common for people to want to have a career development plan. Many think that those successful individuals who have preceded them in the corporation had a plan to get where they got. Some did, but quite honestly, it is easier for them to claim that they had a plan with the benefit of hindsight and success than to produce the plan they wrote years before.

There is a whole field of professionals who offer career development resources and consulting. I think their services can be extremely valuable, especially when moving from one company to another. I am more familiar with helping people to advance and develop careers within the same company, as an integral part of my consultations. And so, that is my focus in this article.

In these client conversations about career development within the same company, I usually fairly quickly replace the concept of a "career development plan" with a "career networking plan" or a "career development networking plan."

I've been working with a client who has been kicking and screaming about the idea of networking. She has been doing excellent work and feels she should be promoted based on her work. In one way, she's absolutely correct. However, at her level in the organization, not only are there fewer openings, but a group of disparate persons with their own agendas usually decides about promotions and job changes.

When multiple persons with all different needs are involved in such a decision, there must be agreement that she is the one to promote or accept or move. Such a scenario usually requires more than doing the requisite job skills well. In most cases, the "more" comes down to ongoing activities she must be engaged in: networking and building authentic relationships.

I want to be clear, when I speak about career development networking, I do not mean to start networking to get a job that is now in the interview stage; my view is that this narrow type of networking is more appropriately called "lobbying." Instead, I am speaking about networking over the years — building relationships that are two-way, developing collaborative partnerships, feeling appreciation about interactions, expressing sincere congratulations when others are promoted, and engaging in conversations about a variety of topics.

When many individuals are all well-qualified for a job, something "more" must stand out in the final candidate. This "more" may be related to job accomplishments, but likely, the "more" is related to relationships — perhaps the one who is best known, or the one who is most liked, or the one who has consistently good interactions with others.

The candidate who is well-networked is likely to increase the chances that all the decision-makers will agree, "this is the one." There might sometimes be a thrill about a hotly contested position, but all things considered, the best transitions take place when there's general agreement to select the final candidate.

Career Development Networking — a Starting Plan

First of all, it's important that you think of networking as two-way! This is essential. The word "networking" has become rather polluted by the way some persons are using this word. Use the word however you want, but please understand that here I am using it to mean an exchange. Be pragmatic, of course, but understand that you are only "networked" if a two-way connection is happening. This is absolutely essential to understand, if you want to make this an empowering practice.

In my empowerment consulting sessions, I'm often coaching clients about the best persons to network with, the subjects to speak about, and how to speak about the subjects. Those who are a little shy or reticent about speaking with someone at much higher levels sometimes just need this added encouragement to take the step to network.

Many successful people already understand the need to network within their company. They probably don't need a plan. Some jobs require that individuals know, interact, and partner with others in the company, and so they are usually well-networked naturally. If the company is large, though, there are many persons outside the scope of the current job who are potentials for expanding a network.

Here is a simple approach to getting started. Make two lists of persons in your company. The first is a list of the persons you already know and like. The second is a list of the persons you believe can, at some time, help you in your career — you may already know them or not. It is o.k. to have the same person on both lists; in fact, this strategy depends on that!

The intersecting subset of those two lists is the starting place. In other words, start your networking plan with the persons you like, whom you think can help you in your career. You will have more success by starting where it is easiest. Keep your lists updated over time, so that this is an organic process.

The next step is to decide, person by person, how and how often to network. Again, start where it is easiest. If you have regular meetings with someone on your target list, sit near the person, or suggest that you have lunch afterward, or take an interesting article to give to the person. If you consider you are already actively networking with this person, you may not need to adjust any actions. Just be certain to keep the person on your radar screen.

For best results, keep a journal of your networking. In your journal or on your calendar, make a notation for yourself for your next contact. By all means, do not over-commit yourself to starting to build too many new relationships at the same time. As a relationship is in the stage where either you and the other person are at ease to "call anytime," you have built a relationship, so continuing it is easier.

Networking is as simple as such examples as I've just given; a networking plan is also simple. It just requires some, ummmm, planning and paying attention.

Why Provide Good Customer Service

Description:

If there are no customers, then there is no business. If there is no business then you do not have a job. It does not even matter if yours is not a customer-facing job. Customers are needed.

Content:

Have you heard people say that if not for customers, work will be a lot smoother? They ask questions for which the answers are so obvious. Or they can find the answers if they will just read the instructions that are provided with the product. They just have to call and ask all kinds of questions and sometimes you are not even the person who is supposed to handle such questions. Are you looking for good reasons that will help you feel better about this?

First thing is if there are no customers, then there is no business. If there is no business then you do not have a job. It does not even matter if yours is not a customer-facing job. Customers are needed. Question now is how you can look at the situation differently so that providing good service to the customers is something that you can be happy doing.

Basic reason, of course, is that you get paid to do the job and providing good customer service is part and parcel of the job. It does help to remind yourself that the organization promptly pays you and it is only fair to deliver your responsibility.

Next reason is that good customer service is the best pre-sales effort for the next purchase by the customer. People go all the way out to run promotions and write great copy to entice customers to buy their products. Nothing though can beat good customer service. There are customers who will repeatedly buy from the same company because they are happy with the service provided.

Good customer service is not about falling over yourself providing everything the customer asks for, but it is providing the customer what they rightfully should get for having bought a product from your company.

There is also a completely personal angle that you can look at where service is concerned. Most people nowadays are conscious of their social responsibilities and like to donate or make contributions to worthy causes. Why not make good customer service as such a contribution? In this case, you also get paid for it. In the words of N. Eldon Tanner, "Service is the rent we pay for the privilege of living on this earth". The moment you can start thinking that service is something that you want to do, then every customer request will be much easier to respond to.

Is it going to be easy? Not all the time. There will be difficult situations but there will also be customers who will be very appreciative of the service that you provide. For those difficult situations, say to yourself that this is why you are paid a salary and just do it. The moment you stop fighting it, handling the situation gets less difficult.

Now, how do you handle difficult situations so that they do not upset you? The best way to handle this is to calmly listen to the customer. Many a time service representatives have a solution even before the problem has been described. Stop to listen first. Then ask clarification questions if necessary before providing the resolution.

Theodore Roosevelt said, "Nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care". It will do well to remember these words. If you can listen with a sincere desire to help and be happy to help the customer, you will feel good providing service. Some people even enjoy it. In addition, your whole attitude and listening with care will come through and even the customer's demeanour will change.

Good customer service is not about having a good customer service week once a year. It is about providing good service every day. As you start work daily, if you can accept that your purpose for being there is to respond to customer needs with concern and a desire to help, it will be a lot easier to get through work. You can even start enjoying it.

Remember at a minimum you are getting paid to respond to customer requests. You are also helping to drive more sales from customers because of the excellent service you help provide. Besides this, from a purely personal perspective, you get an opportunity to be of service even without getting out of your normal routine.

Start having a different outlook to providing good customer service. It will make a great difference to how you support your customers and importantly to how good you feel deep inside you.

Have You Got eBay PowerSeller Potential?

Description:

One Powerseller Makes $22,000 A Day!

Content:

What exactly is a PowerSeller? PowerSellers are the eBay members that have made it, you can recognize them by the ‘PowerSeller' badge next to their name. You've probably seen these people across eBay as you go about your usual business - to succeed on eBay, you need to think the way they do.

How do you get Awarded PowerSeller Status? eBay decides who can be a PowerSeller and who can't, and they have strict rules. To get in at the minimum PowerSeller level, you must have a feedback rating of at least 100 (minimum 98% positive) and sell at least $1,000 worth of items every month for three months in a row.

There are different levels of PowerSeller membership as you sell items of greater value: $1,000 is bronze $3,000 is silver $10,000 is gold $25,000 is platinum $125,000 is titanium

If PowerSellers ever fail to meet the required amount of sales, or their feedback falls below 98% positive, then they lose their PowerSeller status. Essentially the only eBay users that get to be PowerSellers on eBay are the users that have been successful for a while and are on track to stay successful.

The Marketplace and the Shop. This is the most important part of understanding how PowerSellers think. They don't see what they're doing as being some random bazaar, or a hobby - instead, they see themselves as a business.

For example, if you run a stall in a marketplace, the chances are that you have a general area of business, but you mostly just sell whatever you can get your hands on that week. If your dodgy buddy got his hands on a job lot of something at a discount, then that's what you'll be selling. This might be fun - and when you have a good week, you'll have a really good week - but it's no way to run a real business in the long-term.

PowerSellers think far more like shops. They sell the same things again and again, every week - regular stock for regular customers. They do ‘boring' business things like keep inventories and budgets. They know what they're going to be selling, how much they buy it for and how much they expect to sell for. Just like a real shop, there can be hard times sometimes, but their income is stable and their business can grow slowly.

The best advice I can give you on thinking like a PowerSeller is this: don't take long-term risks for short-term gain. Look after your reputation, manage your selling properly, provide good customer service and the rewards will come to you in due course. And you'll get a little badge next to your name that makes people trust you more!

One option that you may of missed is - What can eBay do for any other businesses you have. Millions of people visit eBay every day - why keep everything separate when you're starting to tap into that kind of power?

In fact $14 out of every $100 spent online is spent at eBay!

How to Create Your Own Information Product

Description:

Here are three fantastic ways you can have your own quality information product WITHOUT having to write and in some cases, not even a single word!

Content:

Here are three fantastic ways you can have your own quality information product WITHOUT having to write and in some cases, not even a single word!

The first two ways cost money. The last way can be done free.

[1] Hire a ghostwriter.

Quite simply, you hire a ghostwriter to create the information product on a subject or topic of your choice (or more accurately, on demand!) but the product would appear under your name. Normally, ghostwriters don't take any credit at all and hence the term "ghostwriting".

Hiring a ghostwriter to write for you can be costly. However, if you have the money to compensate your inability to write a good report, this is for you.

You can go to elance.com and search for a writer who can help with creating your own information product.

[2] Buy Private Label Rights to a collection of articles or product.

Quite simply, you buy raw contents (which can come in the form of articles or .doc files which you can edit in Word program) from the original authors or authorized resellers. You can then edit them anyway you like and most importantly, put your name on them and claim authorship!

Private Label Rights seem to be the "in-thing" in Internet Marketing now, though Private Label Rights, in nature, has been on Earth for a very long time, which I suspect dates way back to very long time ago.

This method costs money, too, but it does not cost near as much as hiring your own ghostwriter to get the task done in most cases.

The drawback however, is that if the Private Label Rights to the products or articles are being sold in large numbers, it can dilute the value and quality of the same products or articles as there would literally be many purchasers using the same content at the same time.

If you have limited writing skills, you can still make substantial changes to the raw contents. You will do well to also choose Private Label Right to articles or products on sale with limited copies on sale.

[3] Get someone else to write for you through an interview!

The above two methods cost money on your part. Now, here is the third and free method. You get someone else to create the product for you.

Sounds hard? No, it sounds impossible! Not only are you going to get other people to write for you, you are also not going to pay them! How? Easy. Conduct an interview. It's free, and it puts your interviewees in the limelight. More often than not, people are glad to be interviewed, even if it's free.

If you are planning to create an information product on copywriting, you can approach practicing copywriters for an interview. You can remind them that it won't take much of their time and you may name some benefits from working with you on this project.

If you know of any experts offline, you can arrange for a verbal interview in person or by phone and sell your information product in BOTH text and audio format!

In return, you can thank your interview candidates for participating by giving them some free valuable gifts. Maybe you can get your interview candidates to strike up a Joint Venture with you in selling the complete information product created by everyone with you being the compiler and facilitator. How to Start your Own Profitable Internet Business With These Great Tips and Ideas

Description:

Whilst many people are making vast amounts of money online, don’t be fooled into thinking it is an easy way to get rich.

However, home internet business owners probably all agree that there are many reasons why they would never work for a boss again despite the degree of difficulty in achieving real online success.

Furthermore, with the right Internet Business your risk can be minimized and, if you want to test the waters before committing fully, it can be started on a part time basis to start with.

Following is a list of requirements that need to be considered for your Internet Business to become a successful Money Making Business.

• Domain Name

Before you do anything else, get your internet business off to a good start by registering a memorable domain name as soon as possible. Don't settle for a freebie as it will hurt your search engine rankings and your business' credibility.

• Web Hosting

It is extremely important that you sign up with a reliable web hosting company that provides you with the required space and band width.

An unreliable web hosting service can cause you a lot of pain and lost sales. Some have been known to close shop overnight without any prior notice, leaving you without a web presence, no email facility and no web site.

• Website

Whilst it is not always an absolute requirement to have your own website, it is often useful to have one in order to portray your online business in the way that you want.

If you are not a web designer or you have little knowledge of html, php or css coding, the quickest way to establish a professional online presence is to get a well designed template that can be customized to your business' look and feel.

• Great Ideas for your Home based Internet Business

One of the biggest hurdles for first time entrepreneurs is to come up with a viable business idea.

However, when it comes to an Internet Business there are ideas aplenty - here are some of the best!

1. Become an Affiliate

This is one of the most popular and easiest ways of earning money on the internet, with or without your own website

This is how you do it WITH your own a WEBSITE

i. Register a domain

ii. Sign up with a reliable hosting company

iii. Get a suitably designed website

iv. Sign up with an affiliate network

v. Identify the products you want to market

vi. Customize your website template and embed your affiliate link into the webpages

vii. Upload (ftp) your completed site onto the internet - your webhost will show you how to do this

viii. Do everything you can to send traffic to your site and hopefully your site visitors will start buying your products and you'll start earning affiliate commissions.

To find out How to do it WITHOUT a WEBSITE go to: http://www.income.za.net/home_internet_business.htm

In conclusion remember that whilst the great benefits of having an online business (low overhead, inexpensive advertising and a global reach) can generate massive income streams, you will only realize a high level of personal and financial freedom if you take action now and remain positive and driven throughout the process.

Great Networking (conversation) Tip: Think Win (or Rather, W.i.n.)

Description:

Once a human being has arrived on this earth, communication is the largest single factor determining what kind of relationships he she makes with others and what happens to him. Conversation is the centerpiece of communication, the keystone to relationship building. The problem is many people suck at it. Samson of biblical fame killed 1,000 Philistines with the jawbone of an ass. Unfortunately, similar destruction occurs on a daily basis with the same weapon.

Content:

In my book A First Serving of Milk & Cookies for Success, I devote a whole chapter to what I call The Know-Zoneknowing what motivates people to buy, to join, to sign up, to participate. To do anything in fact. The Know-Zone is all about Human Motivators.

One of the most important ones is the Desire to Feel Important. One way to make people at any level feel important is to show them respect. There are many ways to show respect, but one surefire way is to show interest. And you can demonstrate your interest by focusing ALL your attention on the person you're conversing with. The first rule here is: EYE CONTACT.

If the goal of your conversation is to WIN that person's trust, WIN his or her friendship, WIN a business deal or an opportunity, WIN them over to your network marketing or MLM business opportunity, then THINK W.I.N. And W.I.N. in this case is an acronym that stands for WHO'S IMPORTANT NOW …

John Kuypers, a sensational speaker and a friend of mine, has a slightly different version of what the acronym W.I.N. stands for; the title of his popular book is What's Important Now.

It's very relevant to the topic at hand because when having a conversation, you must focus on the other personthe WHOand also on WHAT he or she is sharing with you. For the entire duration of your conversation, the other person should be the center of your universe. Period. I love Jim Rohn's insistence that Wherever you are, BE THERE!

Actually, this is such an important statement and wise recommendation, let's repeat it to make sure you remember it the next time you're attending an event and you're getting ready to 'work the room'; Wherever you are, BE THERE!
Be there, in the moment, with THAT person. And looking at the person you're conversing with is the best way to express, "I'm here, with you, right now, because you matter to me and I am truly interested in what you want to share with me!"

This is NOT the time to be planning your grocery list, deciding which movie to rent tonight, or checking out the attractive stranger or the buffet table. This is also not the time to be answering your cell phone and starting a long conversationthe ultimate demonstration of rudeness, in my opinion.

And here's something else you will refrain from doing if you keep thinking W.I.N.; Talking Me-Me-Me (especially the "mine is bigger than yours" syndrome).

Did you know this? The most common words in spoken English are 'the', the 2nd is 'and', and the 3rd is 'I' ('you' only comes in 7th place!).

Here's what an annoying "Me-Me-Me" talker might say (ever met one of those?): "My cat got fleas, my dog was attacked by bees, my son got all Cs, my daughter won't eat her peas, my spouse I can't please, and to top it off, someone moved my cheese…"

Hearing that, here's what the annoyed listener is thinking: "Okay… but What Is In It For Me?"

What is the number one thing people are interested in? THEMSELVES. We are vitally interested in our own journey through life! That's natural. And that's why you must keep in mind at all times that the chief interest of the person you're speaking with is not you and your concerns.

Whether you're chatting with someone or making a speech or a presentation, the paramount consideration should be what interests your listener, your audience, your prospect, NOT what interests you. You are NOT W.I.N.Who's Important Now!
Here's one of the best recommendations by Doug Malouf in his fun, informative book Power Up Your People Skills: "Get other people talking about themselves. They'll go away thinking what a brilliant conversationalist you are."

And 'brilliant conversationalists' are appreciated and popular. They get introduced to people, they get invited to functions, they get invited to sit on boards of directors. Translation: they meet more people, which should lead to doing more business.

Conclusion: want to do MORE business (aka more money)? Don't speak more… speak LESS!

The Slight Edge Philosophy...

Description:

Get the Slight Edge in the business, by knowing and understanding this principle. Read it, Study it, and Live it!

Content:

The slight edge philosophy is the idea of performing either simple disciplines or simple errors in judgment that will either build or destroy your business. The simple disciplines are what you want to get accustom to. I promise you that if you follow simple disciplines you will be able to double, triple, or even quadruple your income with in the next twelve months.

It is not difficult at all to build a massively successful MLM business if you follow the simple disciplines, such as, making your phone calls every day, following up with people consistently, going to all the business briefings, even if you have seen them a hundred times, doing your 15 minutes of personal development a day, or doing your exposures every day. You already know what you have to do to be successful in the business; you just have to do it.

It's easy to do all the things that I've just mentioned. All you have to do to make an exposure is go up to someone and tell him or her about what you're doing.

Is it really that difficult to open your mouth? It's easy, but it's also easy not to do, and that is the trap that so many people fall into when they are in this business. They fall into the trap of performing simple errors in judgment, rather than performing the simple daily disciplines that are going to create them a more preferable compounded effect.

I mean, think about it. Let's take smoking for example. You smoke a cigarette today; It's just one cigarette, right? Correct! That one cigarette isn't going to give you cancer, but once you get in the habit of doing it on a daily basis, you probably will get cancer, because of the compounded effect that all started with that one cigarette. That simple error of judgment compounded over a series of years, is what mattered. It's the small things that don't seem to make a difference today that are the things that make a huge difference in the future.

Now let's take working out as another example. The reason why most people quit working out after their first initial days is because they put so much work into those three or four days and don't see any immediate results. I guess they feel they should see results within two or three days after years of abusing they're bodies. That's just not how it works; it takes time before you start seeing any real results that you can be proud of, just as in this business. It takes consistency and simple disciplines.

Furthermore, there are no one liners that are going to get people into your business, what you have to grasp are philosophies, empowering philosophies, because your philosophies will drive your actions, and your actions determine your results, and your results determine your lifestyle. Therefore, I suggest you adopt this Slight Edge Philosophy and think about it on a daily basis.

The problem is that most people stop performing the simple disciplines before the compound effect kicks in. It's like the snowball effect; it has to gather some momentum before it becomes a powerful force of nature.

It is this principle alone that distinguishes successful people from unsuccessful people, it is this principle that seperates the homeless, from the multi-millionaires. The millionaires take hold of the slight edge philosophy and adopt the concept of simple disciplines, where as, the homeless are totally oblivious and continue to perform the same simple errors in judgement that they most likely started when they were children.

I'm telling you now! If you choose to accept the concept of the Slight Edge Philosophy, you will have a much more abundant life and a much more prosperous business. You really should start applying it to your daily life if you aren't already.

But, the choice is yours; there are two path's you can take!!!

Good Luck

History of Invicta Watch

Description:

Bringing you high quality Swiss timepieces that anyone can afford, Invicta Watch is known as one of the fastest-growing watch companies in the business. What many do not know, however, is that the history of Invicta Watch Group is actually more than a hundred years in the telling.

Content:

Who is Invicta Watch Group?

Meaning "invincible" in Latin, Invicta watches were actually made as early as 1837. Founder Raphael Picard wanted to bring people high quality Swiss watches at affordable prices. The company began its history in La Chaux-de-fonds, Switzerland - a land well-known for its watch making endeavors.

Swiss watches have been highly coveted by many parts of the world, and Invicta watches picked up in popularity. The name was well known and well established for more than a century. In the history of Invicta watch, one thing has remained constant: Invicta watches are known for their quality and beautiful design. This is as true today as it was a century ago.

Sadly, the "quartz invasion" of the 1970s pushed Invicta watches out of the picture. Invicta watches all but disappeared. It looked like the long history of Invicta watches had finally come to an end.

The History of Invicta Watch Group, Today

The good news is, the history of Invicta Watch Group does not end with the 1970s. In 1991, the descendants of the original Invicta watch name re-formed the company. Today, Invicta watch group is dedicated to bringing you high quality watches that are still affordable and beautiful in design - the same commitment that Invicta Watch was known for more than a century ago.

"In 1837, Invicta handcrafted its first watches with the belief that fine Swiss timepieces could be offered at modest prices. Today, powered by that same maverick spirit, the once-tiny company has become a fire-breathing dragon, worshiped by collectors, but feared by the rest of the watchmaking industry. In 1991, descendants of the Invicta family re-established the brand holding firm to the company's founding principle. With rebellious zeal, they quickly recognized that Invicta could give a large segment of the watch-buying public that had long been ignored by other companies, unprecedented access to the fine Swiss quality they lusted for, at prices well within their reach. Thirteen years later, the Invicta Watch Group has evolved into the fastest-growing watch company in the business and has sparked a movement that is turning the balance of power in the watch industry."
- Invicta Watch web site, July 2006

Invicta Watches

Today, Invicta watches are growing in popularity. With many varied styles and types of beautifully-crafted watches, Invicta Watch Group is dedicated to bringing you the very best at prices that anyone can afford. Invicta Watch Group uses cutting-edge technology and the best possible materials to make their watches, including anti-reflective sapphire crystals.

With many different product lines, Invicta Watch Group has something to please everyone. The Angel, Pro Diver, and Elite lines are some of Invicta Watch Group's most popular. Every year, Invicta Watch Group strives to bring original, beautifully designed watches out of production for consumers.

When it comes to quality, Invicta Watch Group is definitely a name that you can trust. Why shouldn't everyone be able to afford high-quality, carefully crafted, beautifully designed Swiss watches? That's Invicta's goal, and they do it very well.

After all, Invicta Watch Group is one of the fastest-growing names in the watch making industry. The History of Invicta Watch Group, and the quality of the watches that they produce, should speak for themselves. Invicta Watch Group is a name you can trust for high-quality, fashionable timepieces.

10 Easy Ways to Make Money

Description:

If you are looking for an easy way to make money step inside!

Content:

When you are a parent with growing children and a tight budget, money is always on your mind. Can I put my children through college? Will I be able to tour the world after retirement? Should I get those sexy new sandals? All these questions compel you to do the math.

However, you may not always get the answers you want, but getting acquainted with the easy ways to make money will help you create equations that work for you.

Money may not grow on trees, as the old adage goes but certainly, there are lots of ways to make money without difficulty.

Here are good advices on how to save, earn, and divest your money. These things will help you get the income that you need in no time.

1. Take a "part time work"

Nowadays, earning money is not enough if based on the current job that you have. You simply cannot make the ends meet.

For this reason, it would be better if you will think of some ways to earn extra cash so as not to limit your finances on your monthly income. In this way, you can easily create money without having to leave your current job.

2. Go easy on the coin

Many people tend to overlook the value of money. For example, coins were never considered that important because they always see it as loose change. Hence, it is either you spend it or you give it to your children without knowing the value that it has.

It is just a simple computation. Coins do make a $1 bill. Hence, it has more value than those bills piling up on your wallet.

3. Tax your self

Make it a habit to impose some taxes on yourself every payday. After running down a feasible budget, evaluate the extra money that you have. Before you dash to the road and buy that new dress you have just seen from the boutique, it is best if you pay your taxes first — to your self, that is.

This is so easy to make. Every payday, you have to a lot a certain portion of your salary into the piggy bank. For instance, you may take out $100 each month or you may start with a little amount, say, $20.

Doing this again and again will not only let you make easy money but you are saving something for you own expense instead of having those bills pad up in a nearby coffee shop.

At the end of the year, you will be amazed how $1200 or $240 was easily created. You will never really notice it growing as you pay your self each month.

4. Get an extra income online

With online moneymaking scheme, you can easily make money in a jiffy. With a good set of computers and a reliable Internet service provider, the flow of money will easily run to you.

With online business, home-based jobs, affiliate marketing, PPC or pay-per-click advertising, networking, and stuffs like that, you can easily create additional income in simple ways.

5. Advertise your area of expertise

If you are into cooking and baking, try to make a dozen and sell them to earn extra cash. Alternatively, if you are into writing, try to incorporate those words and sell your own book, on a paperbound or virtual version.

The point here is that if you have a talent, try to make the most of it. You can never really identify its worth if you will not make money out of it.

6. Make money out of a hobby

Are you fond of crocheting? Do you love making cross-stitch patterns? If you do, then it is time that you earn money out of it.

Hobbies may mean time to relax from work. However, if you will just think about it, you can really make money out of those cross-stitch patterns or afghan crochet by selling them to your friends or relatives.

7. Put aside your refunds

By the end of year, employees usually have a refund on their leave credits or expenses that they have accumulated in a travel or just by amusing the customers. When that time comes, you may not have some current expenses or bills to pay.

So, instead of cashing them out or using them in a shopping spree, why not save them instead? The point here is that if you have extra money and you simply do not have any important items to pay for it, and then do not spend it.

8. Make your own product

This means that you have to create your own business. You can start by taking lessons on simple-to-prepare products that can trigger moneymaking potentials.

For example, you can enroll yourself in a soap-making class. Usually, you will only need small capital to start your business. then try the first batch with your friends, family, and relatives. You will be amazed on the results.

9. Control spending

This may be one of the easiest money making scheme you will ever do. The problem with most people who say they cannot save is that they are so busy spending money. Therefore, if you take control on your spending habits, you may even end up being a millionaire some day.

10. Never believe on get rich quick scheme

The bottom line is that even if it is true that there are easy ways to make money, you just have to believe that it will take some time to see those bills grow.

Remember that money does not grow on trees. So believing that you can get rich now is an understatement. You have to work it out to earn money. Keep in mind that it takes determination and persistence to earn a living.

First Time Novelist Faux Pau

Description:

Those who venture into fiction writing often fall prey to certain avoidable, yet highly normal faux pau's with their first book. Many of these novels are grand experiments.

Content:

Those who venture into fiction writing often fall prey to certain avoidable, yet highly normal faux pau's with their first book.

Many of these novels are grand experiments. Often chapters unfold without advance direction or character notebook, sometimes there is a multitude of point of view shifts and there is often a desire to try to pack as much into the story as possible.

One of the key difficulties for new novelists is to track down inconsistencies in their work. For instance if you mention that your character grew up in Ohio it is bad form to mention Chicago as their hometown later in the novel. This can be a somewhat innocuous detail in the book and most people will probably missed it, but the inconsistency is there nonetheless and may detract from the flow of the story is the reader questions the veracity of the claim.

Most authors believe that because the work is fictional the details are less important, but as an author you are creating an entire world for your readers and that world has to become as real as the world in which they live. Since novels have a unique escapist quality to them the last thing you want is to shut down your reader's link to the book because they are stumbling over inconsistencies.

Another point where first time novelists get into trouble is the addition of gratuitous violence or other points of gratuity. The author often wrongly believes that if they can shock the reader it will cause the book to be more memorable for the reader.

Many readers simply see this as a means to mask a weak storyline. This is not to say that there is no place for violence in a novel, but it must be in context of a superior storyline – not as a means of increasing the chances that your reader will recommend the book to their friends.

Most readers see gratuitous elements in a novel for what they really are and this knowledge provides an instant ‘turn-off' factor. If you have someone who is willing to read through your manuscript ask him or her to check for anything they consider gratuitous and any inconsistencies they may encounter.

Avoiding a couple of significant potholes on the road to publishing your first novel will provide an advantage with both publisher and reader alike.

A Skilled Manager Knows… Carrots Go Better in Soup (the Dangling Carrot Versus the Spark of Inspiration)

“What would become possible if you knew—actually knew for certain—that you could propel yourself and your company to your highest goals without any external motivators whatsoever? What if you knew your desired productivity from your team was undoubtedly attainable without the need to issue threats or bonuses? …that your excitement about your professional life could skyrocket without praise or a raise? …you and your team could be utterly satisfied and happy from within yourselves starting right now and that the company’s returns would show it?” Inspiration is contagious and more and more leaders are losing the dangling carrot and getting better results...

There’s so much talk these days about “motivation.” It seems that everyone is trying in some way or another to “get motivated” and “stay motivated.” We live in a world of external motivators, in which we often have our eyes on “the carrot”—whether it be the dangling reward of more energy, better health, a higher income, the respect of our colleagues, pats on the back from our team members or just plain happiness. Companies offer incentives in the form of vacations and monetary bonuses to employees who perform well and many parents live by a model that suggests that children should be rewarded for good behaviour and good marks at school. External motivators are everywhere.

And yet, what do you do when the carrot drops—when the external lures are no longer there? Have you really developed what you need within yourself to carry on, to reach your goals and exceed them amidst the constant change that surrounds you? Many people find that, more often than not, it is difficult to find the drive to push on and make all their great dreams and desires come to life from their own strength of will. And this challenge arises precisely because, not only have they allowed themselves to be motivated from the outside for so much of their lives, but also because, as a result of this pattern, they have defaulted into a belief system that tells them that they need external motivators.

People buy into the belief that they themselves need to be focussed on something outside themselves to keep their attention and draw them forward in life, and in turn that others (workplace teams, for example) require them to set up external motivators. Managers often perceive that this is what is expected of them—in fact some believe that it is a manager’s main purpose to steer the boat by way of the external lure—and they’re afraid to try another approach because the boat might never reach the shore.

And then there’s “inspiration”—similar to motivation, but so much more powerful. Inspiration comes from within. Even if you are inspired by something outside of yourself, it is “inspirational” precisely because it gives rise to something natural in you. Inspiration has powerful quality—it is the stirring of your amazement about life and what’s really possible. When you are inspired, you feel a strong connection to the big picture and you have a stronger sense of your place in it. In turn, your physical energy, your ability for positive, innovative thinking, and productivity increase exponentially.

Inspiration rises out of your connection with your personal mission on the planet and is dampened and deadened when your actions are not in line with your values. On the other hand, when you are taking action out of our own inspiration, you naturally inspire those around you, raising their natural desire to produce more and do so more efficiently and better in every regard— then you can put the carrots back where they belong—in the soup.

So how do you let go of the carrot and go about infusing the workplace and your life with inspiration? Here’s what some successful social entrepreneurs are doing, and it’s growing their initiatives and their personal satisfaction with life in ways they never dreamed were possible…

Top 10 ways to get inspired and stay inspired

1. Identify what brings you joy—what really, truly brings you joy—no matter what the judgments of others might be.

2. Make the radical commitment to engage in something that brings you joy every day and then do it.

3. Identify your values and rate their importance, through working with a life or business coach.

4. List your typical daily activities, hour by hour, and scrutinize them to discover how many of them are in alignment with your values and how many of them drain your energy (low energy is contagious too—and your team will soon follow suit).

5. Eliminate 1 draining action you engage in at work per week and replace it with 1 energizing activity.

6. Identify what you wish were different about the world.

7. Engage every day, even in some apparently “small” way to bring this change about (there is no such thing as a “small” task when it comes to changing the world—it’s all profound). Keep a list of these activities and read it over at least once every week.

8. Keep an inspiration file on your computer. Make a note of any and every inspired, innovative and world-changing thought or feeling that you experience throughout your day.

9. Lose the “what if downs”—that is, those “what if” statements that describe everything that could (but had better not) go wrong. Replace them with “what if up” statements, such as “What if we secure the contract and our client sends us even more business?” Share at least 10 “what if up” statements with your team members per day and watch what happens.

10. Identify and list your personal carrots—those external things that keep you going. It’s okay to keep them dangling until you don’t need them any longer. As your inspiration increases, take some risks and attempt to take action without your external motivators. If you really cultivate a strong foundation of inspiration, you will notice your need (and your team’s need) for incentives decreases naturally and swiftly. Make note of the improvements in your mental and physical health and tell your colleagues about them.

Your Greatest Asset

Description:

Most business owners overlook their greatest underutilized asset. Read this and radically improve our bottom line profits.

Content:

I talked recently with a fellow who has a staff of eighty-five people. They're not his sales team. He wants to increase his sales, and I suggested he consider turning these employees into salespeople. "But that's not their job!" he protested. Exactly. And that's why most business owners overlook their greatest underutilized asset their non sales employees. I got very excited when I realized that there were 85 people who could help increase his sales with no cost or risk!

Every person on earth wants to feel important, recognized and appreciated. We want to feel that our contribution is important and that our ideas and suggestions are valued. Plus, we want to feel that we get rewarded for any value that we create. I have found that our employees at the coalface often know more about our businesses than we do. Their suggestions are based on real life, real experience and real opinions. They have insights and recommendations which could radically improve our bottom line profits, if we only gave them a reason to share those ideas, listened, and rewarded them accordingly.

Your employees want to feel a part of the business. They want to feel that they have secure jobs and that they can increase their income without moonlighting and arriving at your business half asleep. By listening to their ideas and providing them non-threatening and easy to use, understandable sales tools with a system to measure and reward results, you can unleash massive sales! When we understand that our businesses provide products and services that relieve pain and create value, we can train our employees to perceive "sales" differently. Use this massive, neglected resource the cost is miniscule and the results are extraordinary improved productivity and loyalty, decreased employee and customer attrition and increased sales and profits, innovation and motivation.

Zig Ziglar said, "You can get anything out of life, if you're prepared to give enough other people what they want." Most employees dread going to work and we can change that. Give your employees what they want: a voice, an ear, an opportunity, security, self esteem, reward, motivation, purpose and recognition, get your ego out of the way, and the sky's the limit.

How workers ranked what they considered important, starting with the most important:
#1: Appreciation for good work,
#2: Feeling "in" on things,
#3: Help with personal problems,
#4: Job security,
#5: Good wages,
#6: Interesting work,
#7: Possibility for promotion,
#8: Loyalty of Management to workers,
#9: Good working conditions,
#10 Tactful discipline.

Apply this knowledge to your management systems and win!

"Unless you move, the place you are is the place you will always be."
