Aren't you fed up with being sold the ultimate solution to making a fortune as an affiliate only for the same person to come out with another ultimate product a few months later? Well, I am, and this Chris just turns me off. See, I bought Affiliate Project X and made a few dollars, but I found this guy to be very unhelpful. So I don't like this guy.

When the Day Job Killer came along I was skeptical, but at the same time knew that Chris had some good ideas, even if he is a bit of a slippery character. I bought it! You probably think I was nuts, but one of my jobs is to review these products, so I had an excuse. I thought it might work.

First impressions of Day Job Killer were not good

At first I was not impressed by the Day Job Killer. To start with it has a real corny cover picture, and when you actually get Day Job Killer, it starts off by rambling on about what happened in 2004. Boring, and self-serving.

Then he talks about 2007 to convince you that something different from Affiliate Project X was needed. After that he says that the first method is really a follow-on from one in Affiliate Project X, which came out last October. Hmmm. Not impressive, unless you are a newbie.

He also spends quite a bit of time chuntering on about free keyword research - severely depleted now that Overture's suggestion tool has been canned. That does not interest me as I have my own keyword research tool. You should, too.

I delved deeper, and could see that what he was saying made some sense. You need to read it at lest twice to get the hang of some of these things, but there is some real meat in the sandwich.

Some methods do work

I did find some methods in Day Job Killer that worked. I must warn you, though, that although they work, they are sneaky, and some would say not very ethical. But they work very well, and could make you a lot of money.

Chris makes a big thing about getting your own back on the gurus with Day Job Killer. True. You can actually compete against them and win - just with a few Adwords ads - if you use one of his strategies. You need to be hard-nosed for that one.

If that's a bit hard there are other methods, like The Leveller, which is a refinement of the Leech in APX, which is a cunning way of getting yourself an income stream that can go one and on.

Also you can get a proper cloaking method - for free - in Day Job Killer. The one in APX did not work. Very useful, owing to Google's rules about Adwords. It could make the difference between profit and loss on some campaigns.

On balance, I was thinking, Day Job Killer is a genuine product, even if I do hate this guy. Day Job Killer can make you a lot of money. But it's way too complicated as written, even though it is only 69 pages. That niggled me.

On balance, I think that if you are a newbie, you will find it complicated and daunting, and probably too much to handle. On the other hand,if you have some experience on the internet, this could be for you.
